Dear Tigers,

I hope everybody had a restful, reinvigorating Winter Break! It’s wonderful to see you back at Chaffey High School, your home away from home. You will be receiving your first semester grades via mail the week of January 15.

If you thought first semester went by fast—it did, by the way—second semester will go by even faster. Make sure to take advantage of each and every day. Your teachers, counselors, and support staff are ready to help you accomplish your goals, but YOU need to put in the work.

Remember: you are starting fresh. If you had a bad first semester, shake it off and turn it around. Your teachers are ready to help you get back on track. If you had a great first semester, keep it up or—better yet—take it up to another level. Again, your teachers are there to help you realize YOUR dreams.

There are a few important dates I’d like to make you aware of:

  • January 15, MLK Jr. Day (no school)
  • February 12, Lincoln’s Birthday (no school)
  • February 15, AP Night (south gym)
  • February 19, Presidents’ Day (no school)

I can’t wait to see the amazing things you will accomplish in 2018!

With sincere Tiger Pride,

Dr. Matamala
Chaffey High School Principal
