Mr. Sánchez

Welcome to Mr. Sanchez’s School Loop page. This is a resource that will help with communication between teacher, student, and parent. I look forward to developing my site to make sure my students can be successful.

The Sanchez Story

After graduating from Chaffey High, I was unsure of what I wanted to do, so I went to Chaffey Community College, because it seemed like the logical next step. Being a first generation college student, I labored at Chaffey College for many years before figuring out what I had known since high school, that I wanted to be a teacher. I transferred to CSUSB and decided to major in English Literature. Working hard, I graduated with honors and enjoyed every bit of my undergraduate experience at Cal State. I started my teaching credential program at CSUSB, and landed a teaching assignment in the area of Special Education. There were a lot of changes in education legislation at that time, and I had to transfer to California Baptist University in Riverside to complete my Special Education credential. I then completed a second credential in English (Single Subject). I taught in the Special Education department for seven years and then moved to the English department in 2009. I currently teach English Language Development (ELD) and Newcomer students (students that have one year or fewer in the US).

My wife and I recently celebrated our 23rd wedding anniversary, and we have two beautiful daughters.

Here at Chaffey High, I am the M.E.Ch.A. club advisor. I also coach Girls Tennis, JV Boys Basketball, and Boys Tennis. I have also worked with and volunteered for many educational programs like Upward Bound, Puente, and the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project ( I believe it's important to to be involved in school activities. I also believe it is important to invest in, and give back to your community. I moved to this area when I was a sophomore in high school, and love the fact that I get to work and serve in the community I live in...
