Camille Kearl

Hello and welcome!  I am Ms. Kearl and I teach American Sign Language in the foreign language department here at CHS.  This is my fourteenth year of teaching at CHS.  Prior to becoming a tiger, I was a cub.  I taught for seven years at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside.  My educational background is in Special Education and Deaf Education.   I graduated from both BYU (B.A. Ed.) and Utah State University (M.A. Comm. D. / Deaf Ed.).  Upon moving to California I attended the University of Redlands and obtained my California teaching credentials.  I love being a tiger and I love teaching ASL!  As part of the Chaffey staff I am committed to providing students with the best education possible and holding them to high standards of achievement.

From this site, students and parents have access to material covered in our classroom on a daily basis.  You may find it useful to keep track of notes, homework or classwork, assigned projects, and even student grades.  On the left side of this page are links to the classes I teach.  Feel free to navigate through the section that corresponds to you and use these pages to help you succeed in my class.  Please contact me with any concerns or questions.

"Learning to speak another's language means taking one's place in the
human community.  It means reaching out to others across
cultural and linguistic boundaries.  Language is far more than a system
to be explained.  It is our most important link to the world around
us.  Language is culture in motion.  It is people interacting with people."
